Thank you for a great article! 15+ years ago I helped do costumes for a local theater in Memphis. Their closet was nothing like those in the article, but you could still spend hours looking through the clothes. Will have to watch/rewatch the movies and look for the connections.
Looking forward to checking it out! Makes me think of how 5 paintings by the famous Dutch painter Vermeer have the same ermine-trimmed yellow cloak in them worn by different models!
I loved reading this, thanks for writing! When I moved to LA almost a decade ago, I worked as a wardrobe assistant for commercials and music videos for about 6 months. It was intense, and I’ll never forget the sights and smells of the studio wardrobe warehouses! They are absolutely nuts. You’re completely right about the clothes being less than perfect, too!
Another amazing Trufelman drop! Thank you for sneaking into these secret places and delivering the goods. Wish I was in NYC right about now!
This was absolutely fascinating!

I miss going to the local costume houses growing for school plays.
Waiting for all the local 764 members to chime in :)

I loved this piece!!
A fantastic, informative piece. I can't help but hearing Avery's voice in my head when I read them.
Thanks for taking us along on this adventure. What a cool aspect of movies and shows.
BUT WHAT IS A CAR COAT! JK, I'll google it. Thanks for the fascinating insight (and dad robe pics)
